Robyn Rihanna, better called Rihanna in Barbados, is an Barbadian artist and performer who has provided us with hits songs like Pon de Replay Umbrella SOS and Take a Bow. She is a very popular artist, who has sold more than 41 million albums across the globe and more than 150 million songs. Barbados-born, she learned to appreciate reggae music and began singing when she was a young child. Disturbed by the chaos in her family and conflicting with her parents, she absorbed herself in music and eventually realized that she wished to become a professional musician. She formed a musical group when she was still in high school and had the opportunity to an audition with music producer Evan Rodgers who was highly amazed by her talent. The singer relocated from the United States to New York so that she was able to pursue a full-time singing career. Rihanna released her first album and was an overnight sensation. Young people were captivated by her songs with a catchy sound which had them on their feet. This led Rihanna into the film industry. Young and talented, Rihanna has been viewed as a teenage idol as well as a fashion icon. Rihanna is also involved in donating to charities and making use of her celebrity status to benefit charities.
